Sheepadoodles

My Home Puppies’ Sheepadoodles

Sheepadoodles combine the best traits of their parents, the French Poodle and the Old English Sheepdog. Poodles are known for being well balanced and elegant with a bouncy, light-footed gait. They are active, merry, very alert and intelligent dogs. The Poodle delights in life! Their loyalty is legendary, but they can also be possessive. They make great companion dogs. As a bonus, they do not shed, which makes them a great choice for those with allergy issues or people that don’t like dealing with piles of hair on their clothing/furniture/floors/etc.

The Old English Sheepdog originated (as you might have guessed) in the United Kingdom. They are muscular and have short, square bodies carried high on their legs. One feature they’re known for is their rolling, elastic gallop. They are a rigorous, playful breed that are neither fearful nor aggressive. Despite their heritage as a working breed, they are now rarely used as actual sheepdogs.

*All of our Sheepadoodle puppies come with a 1-year genetic health guarantee, microchip enrollment form, health records, vet-check paperwork, starter pack of puppy food and a blanket.

Helping you find a designer large breed puppy and a positive adoption experience worth its weight in gold!

Tinsel at 9 months old

The Sheepadoodle is a designer breed composed equally of the Old English Sheepdog and the French Poodle. The Sheepdog side gives them their affectionate nature, as well as their calm and even-tempered attitude. Sheepdogs are often referred to as “Nanny Dogs” because of the way they look out for and protect children. They have the heart of a guardian, but are not aggressive and will not bite. These traits help make their Sheepadoodle offspring great companions for families of all sizes and ages.

The poodle side of the equation gives our Sheepadoodles their adaptability and outgoing, good-natured personalities, as well as their intelligence and loyalty. Don’t forget about their low-to-no shedding and wavy haircoat!

Our Sheepadoodle puppies are the delightful result of combining strong, healthy specimens of these wonderful breeds. We find them to be very affectionate and intelligent, with a haircoat that is totally amazing — run your fingers through it once and you’ll know what we mean (though it will need daily brushing and combing). The Sheepadoodle is just at home in the city as the country, and can adapt to city life in an apartment if they get plenty of time with their owner, as well as time each day to run. Sheepadoodles can become difficult if not trained properly.
