The Sheepadoodle is a designer breed composed equally of the Old English Sheepdog and the French Poodle. The Sheepdog side gives them their affectionate nature, as well as their calm and even-tempered attitude. Sheepdogs are often referred to as “Nanny Dogs” because of the way they look out for and protect children. They have the heart of a guardian, but are not aggressive and will not bite. These traits help make their Sheepadoodle offspring great companions for families of all sizes and ages.
The poodle side of the equation gives our Sheepadoodles their adaptability and outgoing, good-natured personalities, as well as their intelligence and loyalty. Don’t forget about their low-to-no shedding and wavy haircoat!
Our Sheepadoodle puppies are the delightful result of combining strong, healthy specimens of these wonderful breeds. We find them to be very affectionate and intelligent, with a haircoat that is totally amazing — run your fingers through it once and you’ll know what we mean (though it will need daily brushing and combing). The Sheepadoodle is just at home in the city as the country, and can adapt to city life in an apartment if they get plenty of time with their owner, as well as time each day to run. Sheepadoodles can become difficult if not trained properly.
